It goes out into Eastlake
Printed cards land in little free libraries, school classrooms, and small businesses around the neighborhood.
Card #001 · The first one
Meet Widget
A tuxedo cat in a floral bow tie and the very first card in the set. Widget's move, Under the Bed, lets a hurt Widget hide on the Bench where nothing can attack. Anyone who has tried to find a cat at vet time knows that's accurate.

Card #002 could be your pet.
It takes about two minutes. Dogs, cats, rabbits, lizards, and chickens are all fair game.

About the project
Hi! I'm Micah, and I make the cards.
I grew up around Seattle, and in elementary school my prized collection wasn't baseball cards. It was the Orca Identification Cards the Seattle Aquarium used to make. Oreo, Kiki, Spirit, Lazuli: I knew those whales like they were celebrities, and I'd have traded my lunch for a new one.
Last year I got back into Magic: The Gathering, and it pulled me into a brand-new hobby: designing and printing my own trading cards.
Pokémon and other card games are huge right now, which got me thinking. What if Eastlake had its own set, starring the pets we see on our walks every day? That's Eastlake Pets. You send in your pet, I turn them into a card, and the cards go out free to local shops, schools, and little free libraries. Maybe a kid in the neighborhood will collect them the way I collected orcas.
House rules
- Cards are always free. They're never sold.
- Owners are listed by first name only.
- Every pet is welcome, whatever their age, species, or level of dignity.
- I may use AI to help write the text and abilities on the cards. The photos are always your real pets.
- This is a just-for-fun side project, and I can't promise how long it'll run. If life gets busy and new cards slow down, please don't be mad. Every card that's already out there is yours to keep.
